“a beautiful landscape…”Morning Drops” is the track on the album that would always wish I was in bed just about ready to fall asleep. The track is so sweeping and touching that it just hits a chord with me and transforms me into this ultra relaxed state.

The group has created a really delicate and gorgeous record” - John Siwicki comfortcomes. com

“Enough unexpected twists and turns in their sound to keep your ears on their toes to the end.
Finally, the perfect album to do some hazy relaxing to” – insound

yo,

so this weekends studio adventure was a success! we accomplished our goal of tracking drums and bass for 8 songs! major thanks to our friends at the compound studio in signal hill. jeff and aya were amazing, and we had such a great time (baja sanora’s and jamba juice anyone?).

the tracks which we recorded are: the dead vineyard, luna park, flourit, intention 64, a stunning clarity, men before us…,  … and more after we’re gone, llangolen. we also recorded guitar and piano for a new song called an afternoon lull…

here are a few pics from the pound courtesy of jeff lewis (thanks jeff!)  more updates on our progress as we get them!

quick update

howdy all,

weve been a bit quiet as of late due to both non-signal hill stuff as well as agressive prepping to hit the studio for our first ever full length album! we will begin tracking on May 16th (recording 11-12 songs) with hopes of finishing early summer.  the plan is to spend a couple of days with our good friend jeff lewis at the compound studio  (by coincidence or destiny? you decide!) located on top of signal hill to begin this process.

we are super excited to share these new songs with you, and will keep you posted on our progress!

thats it for now! hope things are all good in your world(s)!

your pals,

16 free downloads of LA artists (including signal hill)

courtesy of our friends radio free silverlake:

Mouse from Classical Geek Theatre wrote the other day about how Amnion’s ATonn is one of his favorite songs to hear live in LA right now and it got me thinking about what my own favorites are… And so I put together a collection of tracks from local artists — some new, some older — that just fucking kill me when I see them performed here in town.

DL and assemble them in the following order for maximum enjoyment, but, most importantly, try to hunt down the bands’ next shows and go see them live so you can get the full mind-blowing experience.

go here to grab the tracks from all of these excellent la bands!
